Our hearts go out to all who have been impacted by the devastating events unfolding across the Southeast. Hurricane Helene has brought widespread destruction throughout the region, and the tragic flooding in Western North Carolina, intensified by the recent dam breaches, has only compounded the hardship for many of you. We recognize that these disasters have affected not just homes and businesses but also the spirit of entire communities. We are very fortunate to have only sustained minimal damage at HDI Cabinetry, but our area was also impacted by the worst storm surge on record for our area, at over 7 ft. Our city and surrounding areas has suffered extensive damage and hundreds of local business and residences have been wiped off the map. There truly are no words for the amount of devastation this event has caused.
At HDI Cabinetry, we believe in the strength of standing together during times of crisis. To help support recovery efforts, we will be donating a percentage of all orders placed this month to assist the people and areas affected by these disasters. While we finalize the details with a specific charity, our goal is to ensure these funds provide critical relief to those most in need.
To those of you affected by these events, please know that our thoughts are with you, and we are here to support your rebuilding efforts. Together, we can make a difference.
There are many places to donate including local and national organizations. If you would like to make a contribution, for your convenience we have included a list of some organizations in the affected regions. Please note this is only a small sampling of organizations. There are many more that you can find.

Hurricane Relief Fund “was created to provide direct relief to people in need after a hurricane,” the fundraising platform said.
When there is a disaster, Chef José Andrés is there with his teams to set up kitchen facilities and start serving thousands of meals to victims and responders. You can help by donating on their website.
There are also many other organizations providing specialty care and assistance:

Donate to the Children’s Emergency Fund.
Together, as a community, we will rise above the challenges brought by Hurricane Helene and the devastating flooding in North Carolina caused by broken dams. Though these natural disasters have shaken us, they have also revealed the incredible resilience and compassion within us. Through unity, we will rebuild, recover, and come out stronger on the other side. These hard times may test us, but our collective strength, support, and commitment to one another will guide us forward. Together, we will prevail, restore what has been lost, and ensure brighter days ahead for our communities.
